Steps for the New Believer

Basic Steps for the New Believer

FIRST STEPS AFTER BEING BORN AGAIN

1. UNDERSTAND THE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION:
2 Cor 5:17 means being in Christ is the condition for being a new creation. The new believer has received Christ so he is a new creation. He is newly created as long as he continues to walk in Christ
The new creation man is different from the old where God created all things before him – Adam. In the new creation, man is created first. 2 Cor 5:16-17
He has a new identity. His new identity has no past. It is not the old renewed. It is new and the old is past.
He has a new nature. Eph 4:24 “ ….. and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”
He has a new world or kingdom. This world is spiritual
He has a new faith. This faith is the tool for accessing the new creation world. Rom 1:17 “…The just shall live by faith”
He has a new covenant. The blessings of this covenant are spiritually positioned and you need faith to access them.
He has a new reality. This reality cannot be touched, seen or comprehended in a laboratory as natural science would expects.
He has a new language. Matt 12:24 Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”
He has a new mindset. Rom 12:2 ”And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
He has a new relationship. John 3:36 “He who has the Son has eternal life, he who has not the Son of God cannot see life and the wrath of God is upon him”
He has a new spirit. Ez.36:26 “ …And a new spirit will I put within you..”
He has a new heart Ez 36:26 “ A new heart also will I give you..
He has a new life. That is eternal life. 1Jn 5:11-12” And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life”
